I've discovered a great new time waste... introducing:

I want to make one for Ed Witten, but I haven't come up with a good enough slogan yet. Alan Turing would be a good choice too.
Oh yes, and I'm officially a PhD candidate now... I totally blew my orals away (heh... perhaps a poor verb choice), although my rash has continued to be a big problem. I'm hardly getting any sleep, and fading in and out of twilight during the day/night/whatdayisitagain?, but at least I only have one more final to grade and I'll be done for the year :)

I have eczema and rosacea, and neither responds in the least to the prescription poisons I took for years, but are doing quite well on a regimen of natural products and better eating (Who knew that wheat made me look like a blushing . . . well, very very flushed?).

Yes, actually I've changed my diet quite radically. And that does seem to be the one thing that helps... and perhaps it keeps coming back because I can't completely control what I eat. But for the past few weeks I've mostly been surviving on fruits, vegetables, and rice. Haven't talked to a naturopath, but I did try Jojoba oil at the suggestion of a friend. On some days I like it, but overall I think I usually prefer the moisturizing cream that the doctor gave me.
Another factor is I keep going back on the Prednisone and then trying to come off of it. And the flare-ups do seem somewhat correlated when I try to stop it... although they also seem correlated with when I eat something a bit greesy or too sweet or spicy.
