This week has seemed really busy for me, so I'm way behind on lj. This morning I still had 275 unread entries on my friends page... although now it's down to about 175. Need new filtering of some kind. Been sick most of last week and this week, gave a little talk/presentation on orbifold GUTs yesterday to the other theory students here.

Our paper on Baryogenesis was published by JHEP today... much quicker turn around time than the last paper I was involved with. I'm proud to have scraped out a publication in high energy theory during my 20's, even if it is 2 days before the end of my 3rd decade on the planet. Speaking of which, this is not something I'm looking forward to. Although, I've decided that I'm turning 28 on Sunday, since subtracting a year seems like a more fun way to celebrate birthdays from here on out, rather than adding a year which would be way too scary and make me think that I'm turning into an adult or something(!) I can't wait to see whether my 20's will be as good the second time through as they were the first time.

More later when I get a chance... Bruce Damer speaking tonight at our Future Salon, 7pm. Borders Bookstore, Santa Cruz. Title: "Will Bona-Fide Life Evolve Out of Human Technology?"
