i think someone should conduct research on whether it benefits anyone in society to be told that they are underpriveleged or that they will certainly be discriminated against. i mean, regardless of whether it's true, i want to know if it's useful for a person to be constantly told that.
my hypothesis is that it isn't.
i was not told i was underpriveleged until college when it was too late for me to blame all my failures on it.
i believe in people. i'd rather not think of myself as an exception. it's been shown that when you have high expectations of others, they perform better. i'm not special. if i can do it, anyone can, etc etc
